Ramallah - Together - The General Union of Palestinian NGOs welcomed the just and courageous decision taken by the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Ireland to recognize the State of Palestine. She continued, "This expresses the victory of the Palestinian right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and for the Palestinian people to live in security and peace like other peoples, in accordance with international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy, in light of the genocidal war, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement taking place against Palestinian civilians." The General Union called on all countries of the world, especially the permanent members of the UN Security Council, to work for the Council to ratify the resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly to recognize the full membership of the State of Palestine in order to achieve peace and stability in the region in accordance with the vision of the two-state solution, and based on the relevant international legitimacy resolutions and the initiative Arabic peace.
