Ramallah - Ma'an - From yesterday evening until Monday morning, the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least (26) citizens from the West Bank, including former prisoners. The arrest operations were concentrated in the Hebron Governorate, which affected 21 citizens, including prisoners who were recently released and re-arrested by the occupation, and the Ramallah Governorate, accompanied by widespread raids and abuse, and severe beatings, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens' homes. The occupation forces also stormed and searched the home of the family of prisoner Islam Hamed in the town of Silwad. He has been detained since 2015 and sentenced to 21 years in prison, as part of the 'collective punishment' policy used by the occupation against prisoners and their families. It is noteworthy that the total number of arrests after October 7 reached about (8,800), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrend er themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage. It is worth mentioning that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent consistent and systematic policies used by the occupation forces, and they are also one of the most prominent tools of the (collective punishment) policy, which also constitutes a central tool for the occupation in targeting citizens, in light of the comprehensive aggression against our people and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. , after the seventh of October.
