Salfit - Ma'an - Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Marda, north of Salfit, on Monday evening, detained worshipers inside the mosque, arrested more than 40 people and took them to an unknown location. The deputy head of the Marda village council, Nasfat Al-Khafash, reported that the occupation forces stormed the village, firing sound bombs, detaining dozens, abusing them and subjecting them to harsh interrogation. The occupation soldiers also detained worshippers inside the village mosque, abusing the elderly, children and youth, asking them to leave one by one and threatening them with further punishment and storming, raiding and destroying homes and assaulting citizens. Al-Khafash added that the occupation soldiers arrested more than 40 people and took them to an unknown location, noting that the occupation closed its entrances. Al-Khaffash noted that the village of Marda is subjected to repeated harassment by the occupation, including the closure of its entrances, the widespread deployment of its soldiers in the neighborhoods and at the intersections, the embitterment of the lives of citizens, and the persecution of young men and boys under flimsy pretexts.
