Third Round of Longines Hathab Equestrian Tour Kicks Off in Doha

Doha: The third round of the ninth Qatar Equestrian Tour - Longines Hathab kicked off today at the indoor arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation. According to Qatar News Agency, the event, organized in partnership with Al Shaqab - a member of Qatar Foundation - will run until Saturday, featuring strong participation from top riders across various categories. In the Amateur category (100 cm), rider Ali Omar Al Ansari claimed first place aboard Nikita with a time of 43.27 seconds, followed by Maryam Mohammed Al-Sada on Medina in second place (45.97 sec), and Abdulaziz Abdullah on Anyway in third (49.77 sec). The winners were awarded by Championship Director Abdullah Al Marri. In the Bronze Individual round (120 cm), Amer Hamad Al Mansoori secured both first and second places riding Honolulu (30.9 sec) and Flexy (31.14 sec) respectively, while Khalid Al Hadi placed third on Capion (31.36 sec). In the Bronze Team event, The Dome team took first place, followed by Marwan Al Shaqab in second and Ghazal Al Sha qab in third. The winners were honored by Hassan Al Nasr, Director of the Integrated Pathway Team. The competition continues Friday with Future Riders (ages 6-12) at 70 cm, followed by the Open Class (110 cm), and the Gold Individual and Team rounds at 140 cm. The event concludes Saturday with Dressage, Future Riders (ages 12-16) at 90 cm, the Silver Round (130 cm), and the final Diamond Round (150 cm). The Longines Hathab Tour is one of Qatar's premier local equestrian championships, aimed at elevating the sport nationally by providing a high-level competitive platform, developing riders' skills, and fostering collaboration among local equestrian stakeholders.
