Khan Younis: Three Palestinians were martyred and several others injured on Tuesday following attacks by Israeli occupation forces west of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.
According to Qatar News Agency, local sources reported that a Palestinian man and a woman were killed and others wounded when Israeli occupation warplanes targeted a tent sheltering displaced individuals west of Khan Younis. The victims were transferred to Kuwait Field Hospital.
A third person later succumbed to injuries sustained in a previous Israeli strike on the same area.
Several Palestinians were also injured by Israeli drone fire in Al Zaytoun and Tel Al Hawa neighborhoods in southern Gaza City. Another individual was wounded by the fall of two artillery shells near Al-Shawa Square, east of the city.
Israeli occupation artillery also shelled Al Sikka Street in the eastern Al Zaytoun neighborhood, while warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation resumed its military aggression on Gaza on March 18, following a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that took effect on January 19. However, the occupation forces repeatedly violated the terms of the truce over the past two months by continuing their attacks across Gaza, resulting in more casualties. They have also refused to implement humanitarian protocols and have intensified the ongoing blockade, worsening the already dire humanitarian crisis in the Strip.
