Doha: The Department of Qualifying Skills Development at the Ministry of Labour, in cooperation with the Qatar Career Development Center, organized Wednesday a training course to qualify and professionally develop people with disabilities, and prepare them for employment, as part of the "Empower Ability" program designed to showcase the talents of people with disabilities through comprehensive training programs for them, supporting them in their career paths, and preparing them to enter the job market. The training course is part of the Ministry of Labour's efforts to qualify the national workforce, which includes enabling people with disabilities and preparing them professionally, supporting them in obtaining suitable job opportunities that ensure their independence, in addition to integrating them into the job market in companies and institutions of the private sector. The training session featured a comprehensive package of career counseling and guidance services to highlight the job capabilities of peop le with disabilities and enhance their professional potentials to keep up with changes in the job market, in addition to practical training, aimed at preparing and developing them professionally. The course also provided job opportunities for groups of people with disabilities. The Ministry of Labour had previously signed a cooperation document with the Qatar Career Development Center, targeting the training, preparation, and professional qualification of people with disabilities prior to the employment stage in the job market.
