Doha: US President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Kash Patel to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). "Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and 'America First' fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending justice, and protecting the American people," Trump posted on Truth Social, his social media platform. Patel was "an advocate for truth, accountability, and the constitution," Trump added. According to Qatar News Agency, Trump on Saturday evening also announced that he has picked Chad Chronister, sheriff of Hillsborough County, Florida, to lead the Drug Enforcement Administration in his incoming administration.
