The Turkish Defense Ministry announced Tuesday that it has neutralized eight militants from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq. According to a post on the ministry's official X account, the militants were eliminated in the Gara and Hakurk regions. The ministry emphasized that the Turkish military will continue its proactive operations to eradicate PKK militants. It is noteworthy that Turkish security forces have been conducting operations for years to track down individuals suspected of belonging to the PKK and ISIS, who carry out attacks and bombings targeting both civilians and military personnel.
