Turkish fm: Turkiye is ready to send troops to Gaza as part of the International Stabilization Force (ISF).
According to Qatar News Agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced Turkiye's readiness to deploy troops to Gaza following the Peace Council meeting, which he attended on behalf of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The discussions emphasized Gaza's reconstruction, security, and the reactivation of local administration. Fidan described the progress made as a key step forward in these areas.
Fidan reiterated Turkiye's commitment to supporting Gaza through various means, including humanitarian aid, governance, or participation in the stability force, promising timely contributions. He highlighted the intensive efforts of the Gaza contact group in coordinating members' efforts and warned of the potential risks of renewed violence, hunger, and suffering for Palestinians if the international community's attention wanes.
