Doha: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Lebanese counterpart, General Joseph Aoun, discussed bilateral relations and regional issues: In a recent telephone conversation, the leaders addressed key topics that could influence the future collaboration between the two nations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion underscored Turkiye's readiness to engage in international initiatives supporting Lebanon's security. President Erdogan highlighted the potential for increased trade and investment between Turkiye and Lebanon, suggesting a mutual interest in fostering economic ties.
The conversation also touched on the situation in Syria, with President Erdogan assuring that Turkiye will continue its efforts to ensure that developments in Syria contribute positively to regional stability. Furthermore, he reiterated Turkiye's stance against Israel's aggressive actions towards Lebanon, affirming Turkiye's support for Lebanon in this regard.
