Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he will discuss putting an end to the bloodshed in the Palestinian territories, especially the Gaza Strip, together with all the world leaders whom he will meet at the United Nations. In a press conference on Saturday at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul before heading to the United States to attend the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Erdogan said, "The international community, especially Western countries, should stop watching Israel's brutal actions and take deterrent steps." Regarding the situation in Lebanon, President Erdogan said: "The recent attacks on Lebanon have proven our concerns about the Israeli government's plans to spread the war to the region to be true." He added, "Israel, yet again unfortunately, has been conducting attacks not like a state but like a terrorist organization." Source: Qatar News Agency
