Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoked by phone, on Tuesday, with head of Bangladesh's interim government Muhammad Yunus, to discuss bilateral relationship between the two countries. According to the statement of communications directorate of the Turkish presidency, the meeting discussed regional and global issues of shared concern. On Aug. 6, 2024, Bangladesh's President Mohammed Shahabuddin dissolved the parliament one day after the resignation of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed who left the country.
