Turkish President Underlines Urgent Need for Permanent Ceasefire in Gaza

Doha: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan underlined the need to establish a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, putting an end to the Israeli aggression, and ensuring that humanitarian aid reaches the Palestinian people without interruption.

According to Qatar News Agency, during a press conference held Tuesday, the Turkish President stressed the need for the Israeli aggression across the entire Middle East region to end, saying that the region cannot bear the burden of a war that could impact the whole world, and adding that diplomacy should be given a chance to prevent further fighting.

Erdogan said that global actors must take effective steps to stop the Iran-Israel war and warned against its repercussions on the region and the world, stressing that Israel's actions in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran are totally unacceptable.
