Turkiye Central Bank Predicts Significant Inflation Decline by Year-End

Ankara: Governor of the Central Bank of Turkiye Fatih Karahan announced expectations for inflation in Turkiye to decline to between 25 and 29 percent by the end of this year.

According to Qatar News Agency, during a speech at the presentation of the third inflation report in Turkiye, Karahan outlined inflation expectations for the coming years. For 2026, inflation is projected to range between 13 and 19 percent. The bank has set specific inflation targets of 16 percent for the next year and aims for 9 percent by 2027.

The annual inflation rate in Turkiye was recorded at 44.38 percent by the end of 2024.
