Turkiye condemned Swedish authorities' permitting an extremist to burn a copy of the Noble Quran outside a mosque in Stockholm, describing the act as vile.
In a statement on Wednesday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said, "I condemn the vile action in Sweden against our Holy Book, Quran, on the first day of Eid Al Adha." Fidan said: "It is unacceptable to allow these islamophobe anti-Muslim actions under the pretext of freedom of expression," adding: "To turn a blind eye to such atrocious acts is to be a partner in crime."
