Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, emphasized that the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar constitutes a blatant violation of international law and hinders mediation efforts. He extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack.
According to Qatar News Agency, Meredov stated that using force to resolve disputes is unacceptable as it violates the principles of the United Nations Charter. He urged the international community to support initiatives that promote global peace and security while addressing the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha.
Meredov highlighted the critical importance of unity against actions that violate national sovereignty, warning that such acts could damage mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence.
He advocated for the strengthening of peaceful and diplomatic means to resolve conflicts and build trust among nations, viewing these as essential to enhancing global peace and security.
Additionally, Meredov called for reinforcing the unity of Islamic nations within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), stressing the importance of collective efforts to safeguard shared human values and heritage.
