Two Palestinians Killed in Israeli Strike on Home in Gaza City

Gaza city: At least two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded after an Israeli air strike hit a residential home in the north-eastern part of Gaza City, local sources said.

According to Qatar News Agency, residents reported that Israeli warplanes fired three missiles at a house on Yaffa Street in the Al Tuffah neighbourhood, destroying it and causing a fire. Medical sources said the dead included a woman, while others were injured and taken to Al Ahli Arab Hospital in central Gaza.

Several people were reported missing under the rubble. Civil defense teams extinguished the blaze and continued search and rescue operations at the scene.

The strike comes amid Israel's ongoing military campaign in Gaza, which began on Oct. 7, 2023. The offensive has resulted in widespread casualties, large-scale displacement, and extensive destruction across the territory, with women and children accounting for a significant proportion of those killed or injured.
