Beirut: Two paramedics were killed and 10 people were injured in Israeli air raids on southern Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement on Sunday. According to Qatar News Agency, the statement affirmed that Israel targeted a positioning point for the Islamic Health Organization-Civil Defense in Bazouriye municipality, resulting in the deaths of two paramedics. It added that seven medical personnel from Tebnin Hospital and three other individuals were injured following Israeli raids in the hospital's vicinity, which inflicted major damage on its building. The ministry pointed out that Baalbeck Governmental Hospital in eastern Lebanon, which is overwhelmed with patients and the injured, has also sustained damage due to Israeli airstrikes. It emphasized that a comprehensive assessment of Tebnin Hospital will be conducted before deciding whether it will remain open or closed, prioritizing the safety of medical practitioners. Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive in Lebanon, the numbe r of individuals treated at the hospital has reached 1,458 injured.
