Doha: A total of 32 people have been killed in two separate traffic accidents in Mexico. Mexican authorities reported that 14 people died in a collision between a passenger bus coming from the United States and a truck. The bus was carrying 24 people, of whom only 10 survived.
According to Qatar News Agency, in another incident, the government of Oaxaca state announced that 18 people were killed and various others were injured when a bus overturned on a highway. Local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accidents.
Road accidents are common in Mexico due to high speeds and poor road conditions. The country records at least 15,000 traffic-related fatalities annually.
