Kursk: The Ukrainian Army accused Russian forces of bombing a school that was housing elderly people in the Kursk region town of Sudzha, which is controlled by Kyiv. Oleksiy Dmytrashkivsky, spokesman for Ukraine's military command in the region, noted that 95 people were trapped under the rubble, emphasizing that most of these individuals are elderly and bedridden.
According to Qatar News Agency, Ukraine launched a surprise attack into the Kursk region last August, capturing dozens of villages and small towns, including Sudzha, which had a population of about 6,000 before the conflict. The Ukrainian army's general staff reported on Telegram that Russian aviation targeted a boarding school in Sudzha with a guided aerial bomb.
During the attack, dozens of local residents were inside the building, preparing to evacuate. The general staff assured that all efforts are being made to rescue the survivors from the rubble.
