Ukrainian Military Reports Increase in Russian Troop Casualties Since Start of War

Kyiv: The Ukrainian military announced Tuesday that the number of casualties among the Russian troops, since the onset of the war between the two nations, has climbed to approximately 905,940 soldiers, including 1,180 who were killed or injured in the past 24 hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff reported that the Ukrainian troops destroyed 10,425 tanks, 21,670 armored combat vehicles, 25,190 artillery systems, 1,341 multiple launch rocket systems, and 1,117 air defense systems. They added that they had also devastated 370 aircraft, 335 helicopters, 30,759 drones, 3,121 cruise missiles, 28 warships, one submarine, 41,824 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 3,785 units of special equipment.

Since the start of military operations in Ukraine in 2022, there have been conflicting statements about the scale of losses on both sides of the crisis, with each party claiming that it had inflicted heavy losses upon the other. The veracity of this information could not be independently confirmed due to the unrelenting combat operations.
