The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel has announced that Israeli occupation forces have killed and caused disabilities to tens of thousands of children in Gaza. Chair of the Commission of Inquiry Navi Pillay made this statement on Wednesday during a meeting on the commission's report on the margin of the 56th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland. Pillay added that it is also likely that thousands of children are under the rubble as a result of the Israeli forces' airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. The UN official pointed out that the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has severely affected the necessary infrastructure for children's well-being, including hospitals, schools, and essential services.
