The UN expressed concern about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, stressing the urgent need for incoming supplies, including fuel, to support humanitarian efforts in the Strip. UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said, "as of now, no goods have come in for our use for humanitarian operations either through the Kerem Shalom or the Rafah crossings into the Gaza strip." "We continue to confront a range of challenges, including active military operations," he added. The situation is urgent, with key medical facilities at risk of becoming inaccessible or inoperable, Dujarric stressed. He pointed out that "one of the 3 hospitals in Rafah -Al Najjar- had to be abruptly vacated yesterday, as it was located in the area subject to the evacuation orders" sent by the Israeli occupation army. "We remain committed to providing aid to people regardless of where they are," Dujarric said, adding that their teams are still in Rafah, along with over one million people," affirmed. The Israeli occupati on forces began a military operation targeting the city of Rafah from its eastern side, causing thousands of Palestinians to forcibly move towards the coastal area of Al Mawasi, west of Khan Younis city, under harsh humanitarian conditions, which the World Health Organization (WHO) described it as reaching an unprecedented level of emergency.
