Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Stephanie Khoury met on Wednesday with the heads of the elected committees in the High Council of State in Libya. Khoury said on X (formerly known as Twitter) platform that the meeting discussed the ongoing efforts to end the crisis of the Central Bank of Libya, ways to end the division within the Supreme Council of State, and the urgent need to revive the political process and pave the way for elections. Libya was scheduled to hold presidential and legislative elections in December 2021, but they were postponed indefinitely due to differences between political parties. Source: Qatar News Agency
