HE UN Special Advocate for the Prevention of Corruption Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri has met with HE Vice President of the Republic of Costa Rica Stefan Brunner, on the occasion of his visit to the Costa Rican capital, San Jose. The meeting discussed a number of topics related to prospects for cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the Republic of Costa Rica. A number of potential projects for cooperation were also discussed after learning about the activities carried out by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime at various technical and practical levels related to establishing the rule of law and combating corruption in cooperation with relevant United Nations institutions. The two parties agreed to form a joint cooperation and coordination committee, which meets via videoconferencing, with the aim of identifying needs and studying projects that can be organized to develop and build the capacities of Costa Rican law enforcement agencies, especially those related to the rule of law and combating corruption. The meeting was attended by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Costa Rica Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Dosari. Source: Qatar News Agency
