UNICEF: Nowhere Is Safe in Gaza, Situation Is Worse than Ever

Doha: UNICEF Spokesperson James Elder said that nowhere is safe in the Gaza Strip, pointing out that things are worse than any other time and everyone bears responsibility for this.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a post on the X platform on Monday, Elder indicated that Gaza City remains home to tens of thousands of children, including amputee children who have lost limbs as a result of the bombing. He noted that Gaza's children are shuddering at this relentless series of airstrikes, adding that the logic imposed on the people of Gaza is both brutal and contradictory.

He stressed that the issuance of a general or a blanket evacuation order to civilians does not mean that those who remain behind lose their protection as civilians, emphasizing that international law guarantees the protection of civilians under all circumstances.

He pointed out that Al Mawasi is now one of the most densely populated areas on Earth and it has been stripped of the most basic essentials of survival.
