UNRWA: Israeli Occupation Continues to Block Aid Entry into Gaza

Muscat: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Thursday that Israeli occupation authorities have continued to block the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip since March, noting that its humanitarian assistance remains stranded in Egypt and Jordan.

According to Qatar News Agency, UNRWA explained in a post on its official X account that its humanitarian supplies, including food, hygiene items, medicines, and shelter materials, are still held in warehouses in Egypt and Jordan. It added that the Israeli occupation authorities have maintained a policy of preventing the entry of any aid to Palestinians in Gaza for the eleventh consecutive month.

The agency stressed that life-saving assistance is ready to move, warning that there is no time to waste in saving lives in Gaza and that the international community must not allow the situation to continue.

UNRWA had warned on Wednesday that the continued failure to fully operate Rafah crossing would keep the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip unchanged, preventing any meaningful improvement at the required pace and resulting in further loss of life.
