UNRWA: More Than 8,000 Teachers in Gaza Ready to Help Children Resume Learning

Gaza: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that more than 8,000 of its teachers in the Gaza Strip are prepared to support children in resuming their education.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement posted on its official X account, UNRWA emphasized that it is the largest humanitarian organization operating in the Gaza Strip and highlighted the necessity of being allowed to perform its responsibilities without hindrances.

UNRWA affirmed the prolonged deprivation of education for children in Gaza and underscored the urgency of facilitating their return to school at the earliest opportunity.

The Israeli aggression has severely affected all service sectors in the Gaza Strip, including the education sector. Over 785,000 students have been denied their right to education, with the conflict resulting in the destruction of approximately 95 percent of educational institutions.
