UNRWA: Time to Allow Widespread Aid into Gaza Strip

Gaza: Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini said that it is time to allow widespread humanitarian access into the Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, Lazzarini expressed his views via the X platform, emphasizing that the recent exchange of prisoners and detainees, as part of the initial phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, brings a glimmer of hope after more than two years of total darkness.

Lazzarini further stated, "It is time to build a future of peace through healing, justice and mutual recognition. Time to let in humanitarian aid at scale including through UNRWA." His comments underline the urgent need for humanitarian assistance in the region, highlighting the importance of international support to aid the recovery process.
