Gaza: The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has forced nearly the entire population of the Strip to flee their homes, seeking refuge from relentless airstrikes and bombardments.
According to Qatar News Agency, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported Thursday that approximately 90 percent of Gaza's population has been displaced since the beginning of the aggression.
UNRWA drew a historical parallel to the 1948 Nakba, during which more than 700,000 Palestinians were forcibly uprooted from their towns and villages. The agency highlighted that, 77 years later, Palestinians continue to face displacement, with some experiencing it multiple times.
To date, the Israeli war on Gaza has resulted in over 175,000 Palestinians killed or wounded.
