UNRWA: We Continue to Provide Life-Saving Assistance in Gaza Amid War, Famine

Gaza city: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has said it continues to provide life-saving assistance and essential services to nearly two million Palestinians suffering from war and famine.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a report on its work in the Palestinian territories from January 2025 to date, UNRWA stated that the UN agency remains the largest provider of primary health care amid the famine in Gaza City and the inhumane conditions throughout the Strip. It said that more than 1,000 health workers operate six clinics and 20 medical points across the Strip.

It noted that there were more than 94,000 displaced Palestinians in 60 shelters under its management last September.

UNRWA reiterated its assertion that it has sufficient food supplies in its warehouses in Jordan and Egypt to supply all citizens in Gaza for up to three months, amid the famine caused by the Israeli occupation's closure of the crossings to humanitarian and relief aid.
