Tehran, Iranian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, has condemned the recent US attacks on Syrian and Iraqi territories. 'These illegal US acts deliberately targeted civilians and basic infrastructure causing many casualties and injuries among civilians', Iravani said in a letter to interim president of UN Security Council. Iravani stressed that such illegal actions not only violate international laws and the UN Charter, but also endanger peace and stability in the region and are deemed a serious threat to international peace and security. He has affirmed his country's rejection of the baseless accusations and allegations contained in the US letter to the Council on carrying out military attacks in the region by Iranian armed forces.
