US Crude Oil Production Hits Record High in March

Doha: The US Energy Information Administration (EIA): The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced Friday that US crude oil production hit a record high month-on-month in March, reaching 13.488 million barrels per day (bpd), while demand for petroleum products fell to its lowest level in a year.

According to Qatar News Agency, in its monthly petroleum supply report, the EIA said that US crude oil production rose to 13.488 million bpd in March, compared to 13.159 million bpd in February and 13.450 million bpd in October, which represented the previous peak.

It noted that demand for petroleum products and crude oil in the United States fell to a 12-month low of 19.95 million barrels per day in March, compared to 20.225 million barrels per day in February.

It considered this the lowest level of demand since March 2024, and compared to the record monthly high of 21.666 million barrels per day in August 2005.
