The Central Command of the US occupation forces admitted that 22 of its soldiers were injured, as a helicopter that was carrying them crashed, in the areas where the occupation forces are stationed in northeastern Syria.
“A helicopter mishap in northeastern Syria resulted in injuries of various degrees to 22 US soldiers,” Central Command of the US occupation forces “Centcom” said in a statement.
“The cause of the incident is under investigation,” Centcom said.
Ten of the injured were evacuated from the so-called “central command’s area of operations” to receive treatment in higher care health facilities, according to the statement.
The US occupation forces, in collusion with the “QSD” militia, control the majority of the oil fields in the Syrian al-Jazeera region, where they established military bases with the aim of stealing oil and transporting it to their bases in Iraqi territory through illegal crossings.
