Doha: US President Donald Trump raises the Worldwide Tariff on Countries from 10 to 15 percent, effective immediately, only a day after the Supreme Court of the United States' ruling, which invalidated a large portion of the tariffs imposed during his second term in office. According to Qatar News Agency, President Trump announced the tariff increase on Truth Social, stating, "I, as President of the United States of America, will be, effective immediately, raising the 10 percent Worldwide Tariff on Countries to the fully allowed, and legally tested, 15 percent level." The President emphasized that the decision was made "Based on a thorough, detailed, and complete review" of the Supreme Court's ruling. He characterized the court's decision as "Extraordinarily anti-American," expressing his strong disapproval and justifying the tariff hike as a necessary response.
