US SpaceX Launches New Starlink Satellites to Enhance Global Internet Network


Doha: The US SpaceX has launched 29 new Starlink satellites with the aim of enhancing global internet coverage via space. In a statement on Monday, SpaceX reported that the launch took place from the Kennedy Space Center in the state of Florida, using the ‘Falcon 9’ rocket, which successfully landed on a floating platform in the Atlantic Ocean 8.5 minutes after liftoff.



According to Qatar News Agency, this is the largest batch of its kind launched aboard the Falcon 9 rocket, bringing the total number of satellites launched by SpaceX to approximately 8,460, with more than 7,363 satellites currently operating in low Earth orbit.
