New York: Major stock indices on Wall Street closed lower at the end of today's trading session. The S and P 500 index finished down 124.87 points, or 2.36 percent, closing at 5,157.81 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Nasdaq Composite fell by 407.77 points, or 2.50 percent, ending at 15,878.68 points. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also dropped by 965.52 points, or 2.47 percent, closing at 38,159.19 points.
