Major stock indices on the Wall Street ended the last session of the week sharply lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 410.34 points, or 1 percent, to 40,345.41 points. The broader S and P 500 index lost 94.99 points, or 1.7 percent, to 5,408.42 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index for technology stocks also lost 436.83 points, or 2.6 percent, to 16,690.83 points.
