Moscow: Washington will continue to build up its nuclear capabilities in European countries, despite the current disagreements, stated the Russian Foreign Ministry. Director of the Department of European Affairs at the Ministry, Vladislav Maslennikov, told TASS News Agency, "The question of the extent to which the US military presence in Europe will be replaced by EU forces is rather hypothetical. The EU's real operational, intelligence, logistical, and strategic infrastructure remains deeply dependent on the United States and NATO."
According to Qatar News Agency, Maslennikov further explained that the American nuclear potential in Europe is expected not only to remain but also to be consistently modernized. This development occurs amidst geopolitical tensions, as eight European nations, including Denmark, recently faced threats of additional tariffs from former President Trump due to their opposition to his Greenland acquisition plan.
