Tashkent, Shavkat Mirziyaev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan received Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, today at the Presidential Palace in Tashkent, on the sidelines of his visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in the Second Meeting of the Central Asia - the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Strategic Dialogue. Bakhtiyar Saidov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, attended the meeting. The president relayed his greetings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity. President Mirziyaev commended the strong Bahraini-Uzbeki relations, expressing his country's pride in hosting the Second Meeting of the Central Asia - GCC Strategic Dialogue, which would enhance cooperation, achieve mutual interests. The minister conveyed the greetings of HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and their wishes for continued health and happiness to the President, and wished Uzbekistan further progress and prosperity, noting that the hosting of the strategic dialogue meeting between the GCC and Central Asian countries by Uzbekistan would benefit both sides.
