Caracas, Venezuela has strongly condemned the criminal schemes of the Israeli entity to expand the military offensive launched by its forces on the Gaza Strip and its attempt to invade the city of Rafah, south of the Strip. 'These schemes by Israel's Zionism intends to continue to implement its criminal and expansionist policy in that city, which has more than 1.4 million displaced Palestinians,' Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, was quoted by Prensa Latina as saying in a press release on Monday evening. The press release warned that 'these cruel and inhumane actions' contribute to worsen the consequences and deteriorating conditions experienced by the population in the Gaza Strip and impede access to the humanitarian aid indispensable for survival. It expressed again Venezuela's repudiation of the 'displacement, genocide and apartheid policy' against the Palestinian people, while demanding respect for international law as a guarantee of global peace. Venezuela repeated the call to the United Nations and the international community to make urgent and conclusive decisions to prevent (Israel) from 'creating another Nakba' and the continuation of its catastrophic policy of extermination of the Palestinian people and their noble cause.
