Visit Qatar Concludes Ras Abrouq Desert Event, Attracting Over 55,000 Visitors

Doha: Visit Qatar concluded Ras Abrouq Events, which attracted over 55,000 visitors over a span of 60 days.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event provided an immersive experience combining adventure, relaxation, and cultural activities within Al Reem Biosphere Reserve, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in northwest of Qatar.

Ras Abrouq events featured 29 entertainment performances, including optical illusion shows and storytelling, in addition to 17 interactive workshops and nine various activities. Visitors were able to enjoy camel and horse riding, try shooting sports, stargazing, and hot air balloon rides.

Director of Festivals and Events at Visit Qatar, Ahmed Hamad Al Binali, expressed his happiness at the interaction and success of the unique Ras Abrouq desert experience. He noted that promoting Qatar's historical, entertainment, and archaeological sites through various events not only strengthens cultural offerings but also supports the economy by attracting international visitors.

Visitors flocked to the activities in the Film City area, where family-oriented events were held, while Wildlife Park offered unique safari experiences with camel and horse trails.

The Desert Haven area hosted a variety of activities such as trampolines, acrobatic shows, and falconry displays.

Meanwhile, the camping area offered families the opportunity to relax in luxury tents amidst a serene atmosphere.

The event also featured specialized cultural locations, such as Al Hosh tent, along with daily camel parades, allowing families to explore Qatar heritage and enjoy the beauty of the desert landscape.
