New york: The main indices on the United States' Wall Street stock exchange closed their trading on an upward note, Monday. According to Qatar News Agency, the S and P 500 index rose by 101.38 points, or 1.55 percent, reaching 6,654.67, while the Nasdaq Composite index jumped 490.18 points, or 2.20 percent, to close at 22,692.57. The Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 591.13 points, or 1.29 percent, to 46,070.73.
