The main indices on Wall Street closed higher at the end of Monday's trading session. The S and P 500 index rose by 60.22 points, or 1.09 percent, to end at 5,565.22 points. The Nasdaq Composite index advanced by 280.63 points, or 1.57 percent, closing at 18,004.62 points.
