Doha: Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q) recently organized a one-day symposium aimed at fostering professionalism within diverse medical education settings. Hosted at WCM-Q and coordinated by the Division of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at WCM-Q, the symposium featured a blend of live and virtual didactic sessions led by esteemed medical educators and field experts, complemented by interactive workshops fostering robust discussions and hands-on learning experiences. A key highlight was the integration of coaching techniques tailored to address professionalism challenges within multicultural contexts. The event provided participants with valuable insights into how the perception of professionalism and professionalism identity formation can vary across diverse learning contexts. The symposium was accredited locally by the Ministry of Public Health's Department of Healthcare Professions Accreditation Section and internationally by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACC ME).
