Doha: The competitions of the 4th Khalifa Open Squash Championship concluded. It was successfully held on the courts of the Khalifa International Complex with the participation of 60 male and female players in different age groups. Secretary-General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation Tariq Zainal honored the winners of the first places in the championship during the closing ceremony of the championship. Player Walid Zaman won first place in the professional men's category, while player Youssef Faraj won second place. In the men's (A) category, player Ali Mansour won first place, player Samiullah Sajid won second place, while player Ahmed Mandour won the title of the men's (45 years) category, and Qatari player Youssef Al-Maliki came in second place. Player Ali Al Darwish won the title of the boys' category (under 17 years), while player Ali Awda came in second place. In the boys' category (under 15 years), Qatari player Talal Al Badr won first place, while player Omar Faraj came i n second place. In the women's competition, player Bakir Bawar won first place, while player Rafaela Becerra won second place. Saad Al Mohannadi, Executive Director of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation and Tournament Director called on the players who won first place during the closing ceremony to continue their excellence to make more achievements in the future, stressing that organizing this local open tournament comes within the framework of the Federation's keenness to support Qatari players as well as advance the game in general. Al Mohannadi added that the 2024-2025 season is full of a variety of local, regional and international tournaments, which will help Qatari players develop their performance and raise their international ranking.
