WTA Tour: Noskova and Pegula Advance to Beijing Open Semifinals

Beijing: Czech Linda Noskova and American Jessica Pegula have secured their spots in the semifinals of the WTA 1000 Beijing Open after hard-fought victories in the quarterfinals on Friday.

According to Qatar News Agency, in the first match of the day, World No. 27 Linda Noskova defeated Britain's Sonay Kartal (World No. 81) in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. The 18-year-old Czech, who claimed her maiden WTA title in Monterrey last year, is now aiming to reach her second final of the 2025 season, following her runner-up finish in Prague, and the fifth final of her professional career.

In the second quarterfinal, World No. 7 Jessica Pegula overcame fellow American and World No. 17 Emma Navarro in a three-set battle. After dropping the first set in a tiebreak, Pegula rallied to win 6-7, 6-2, 6-1, booking her place in the last four.

The other semifinal will feature an all-American clash between World No. 3 Coco Gauff and World No. 4 Amanda Anisimova, promising an exciting showdown for a place in the final.
