Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received Saeeda Al Jawder Chairperson of Bahrain Youth Hostel Association (Quarters).
The meeting came following the decision to register Quarters in the registry of youth organizations under the Ministry of Youth Affairs under Registration No. (8/2023) and the adoption of the association’s bylaws.
The Minister affirmed that Quarters is an essential element in the youth scene in Bahrain, as it seeks to create a positive environment and stimulates creativity and innovation among young people.
She added that Quarters enhances communication between Bahraini youth and their peers from different countries of the world, noting the importance of strengthening the status of youth hostels locally and regionally.
The meeting discussed the launch of the association's new strategic vision and focus on organising youth meetings and visits to expose Bahraini youth to successful international experiences.
The meeting also touched on showcasing Bahrain's experience in the youth sector, promoting youth tourism and highlighting Bahrain's achievements.
They participation of Quarters in Youth City 2030 and Masari (My track), a professionally designed project that supports Bahraini youth and trains and develops their skills, was also discussed.
Al Jawder thanked the minister for her trust, affirming keenness to pursue a new vision for the hostels.
