An earthquake measuring 5.5 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Jujuy Province in northwestern Argentina Wednesday. The US Geological Survey (USGS) said in a statement that the earthquake occurred 43 km from the city of La Quiaca, and at a depth of 267.2 km. There have been no reports of human or material losses from the earthquake so far.
