Doha: Al-Raya newspaper affirmed that the official visit made by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the friendly Republic of Poland represents a strong boost to ties within the framework of a shared will and great aspirations from the leaderships of both countries to enhance cooperation and coordinate mutual positions on a range of issues of common interest. The newspaper said in its editorial that the visit will help support the strategic relations between the two countries and elevate them to the highest levels in various political, economic, investment, security, technological, and cultural fields. It noted that senior Polish officials and experts confirmed that Qatar has contributed to resolving several conflicts in different parts of the world, stemming from its firm belief in resolving disputes through peaceful means. They also said that Qatar has become a reliable international mediator, thanks to its effective efforts and good offices, and its bilateral and multilateral cooperation to enh ance security and peace on both regional and international levels. In a related context, the newspaper said that Qatar has proven to be a reliable partner in the process of supplying gas to Europe, especially after the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. Qatar has also played an important role as a successful mediator in many regional and international issues, such as its recent role in mediating to stop the war on Gaza. Additionally, Qatar has made efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine and mitigate its humanitarian and social impacts through the reunion initiative, to enhance the protection of children affected by conflicts through continuous coordination between Kyiv and Moscow. Al-Raya concluded by stating that the Amir's visit received great official attention and widespread praise for Qatar's stance on the Russian military operation in Ukraine, as well as its active participation in the high-level conference on peace in Ukraine held in Zurich, Switzerland, in mid-June. This is in addition to Qatar's prominent role in efforts to establish peace in the Middle East and the support it provides to international bodies and organizations in the field of humanitarian relief, which is highly appreciated by the international community.
